Lynn Peters - Principal Osteopath

Lynn Peters Osteopath

Our Principal Osteopath, Lynn Peters has a Masters degree in osteopathy from the British School of Osteopathy and is also a trained sports massage therapist. It was her love of sport that led her to sports massage and then her quest to help her patients more led her to Osteopathy. Her thirst for knowledge has remained throughout and Lynn runs the local regional osteopathic learning group.

Lynn has an interest in biomechanics and sporting injuries - both rehabilitation and prevention. Her treatment approach is patient centred with a variety of techniques used, including visceral mobilisation, functional, and soft tissue manipulation. Lynn is also very interested in working with patients who have chronic pain conditions and is passionate about working with patients to improve their quality of life if it is affected by pain.

Before qualifying as an osteopath, Lynn was a self-employed caterer and has worked as a healthcare assistant. She also trained as a nurse for a year before deciding that osteopathy was where her passion lay.

She also treats dogs and horses as an osteopath and is currently studying to become an animal physiotherapist. She has 2 Clumber Spaniels that work and have been shown at Crufts. She runs a group devoted to the health of Clumber Spaniels and is keen to promote the breed. She is also a provided of canine first aid education.

Lynn is registered with the General Osteopathic Council, the Institute of Osteopathy and the International Association of Animal Therapists.
